Rocky stands out as the only ‘big’ duck we tagged during our initial efforts in La Paz. Supported by Rocky Point Bird Observatory in British Columbia.
It’s quite rare to see larger ducks this far south in Mexico so early in December. To give you an idea of the context: while we were in La Paz, we observed a few thousand teal, but only about 50 larger-bodied ducks of various species were present in the area. |
